Maddie Duda (born 2003), co-creator of Carousel Thirteen, is a multimedia artist based in Detroit, graduating with a BFA in Fiber & Textiles in May 2025. She is inspired by the abstract nature of memory, creating work that is maximalist, nostalgic, and theatrical, striving to represent its fluidness in a physical form.

She has close to no musical talent. But, she feels very passionately about music, so she takes to this blog to write about it, as well as other random things she enjoys.

She likes the Galaga theme song, rainbow sprinkles, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, pickles, carousel horses, dolls, and tuna sandwiches. She has vivid, memorable dreams, which she keeps written record of. She used to do ballet. She was afraid of mannequins as a child. She has green eyes. She can solve a Rubik’s cube. She misses her light pink Nintendo DS Lite.
